Hey FAmily!!!!!

Good to hear from you! ;)
well, i finally got the date for the big day....i´ll be arriving in pasco on the 16th of august. I still haven´t got all the details on time and what not but that´s the day. It´s creeping up on me. And thank you so much mom for washing all my things and getting things in order...was garrett pretty upset about moving out of the room?? That was so nice of grandpa, i didn´t even see that one coming. I love them so much, how are they doing? Well, this week was pretty crazy once again. Trying to get everyone taught, find new people and get everyone to church. YEsterday was really tough because we´re teacing this family and theyre preparing for baptism and we went to get them for church yesterday and the mom had gone somewhere and the kids were at home by themselves and couldn´t leave. We´re going to have to remark their baptism day. BUt hopefully it all works out. The one thng that made me happy though was as we were getting people to go to church we stopped by one of our investigators house, Raimundo, and he was already to go. When we got to this area the elders had left a couple of white shirts in the house, so i washed them up and got them all nice looking and gave him one to use because he was worried about the clothes he had. He has come so far though. We had actually found him when we were teaching his nephew. The first thing we talked about was the book of mormon. He hadn´t heard anything about the joseph smith, but he took the book and read it. The next day we askd him if he had any questions or doubts and he said, "no, all the questions i´ve had so far have been answered as im reading the book of mormon".....i didn´t know what to say when he said that, i was so excited!!!! And then yesterday as church ended we asked him how he liked it and he said he really liked it with a big smile on his face. And this kid, he´s 17, and he´s the real serious type, it´s hard for him to open up when we´re teaching, but when we saw the smile on his face we knew that he really liked it and that he had felt the spirit there at teh church. THat really made my day. And it made me think that yeah, today wasn´t the greatest working day that i´ve had, the family we had planned on coming to church didn´t come, didn´t have very many lessons taught....but to see Raimundo in church clothes, come to church and leave with a smile on his face, that makes all the difference. It makes me think of that story, not exactly sure how it goes but the guy that was walking along the shore throwing the starfish(not exactly sure if it was starfish or not, but ya know) and someone came along and said "there´s a ton of them here on the shore, it won´t even make a difference if you keep doing that" and the man turned to him and said, "I made a difference for that one." We sometimes never know what will happen in one´s life after we´ve taught them about the gospel, after they went to church for the first time. BUt to know that i was a part in their life and gave them the chance to know of the truth is something i can´t even begin to describe. And when you see the change in that person´s life after they´ve been baptized....it´s a joy that i feel and i can´t explain it. It´s goign to be really hard to leave the people of brazil, yesterday in relief society we sang "GOd be with you til we meet again" And i got to thinking, wow i´m almost gone and i don´t knwo when i´ll see these people again" I just started to cry. These people are my family, they have taken care of me for over a year, they´ve fed me, taken me into their lives....i´ll be going home to my family, but at teh same time i´ll be leaving a big chunk of my family here. I didn´t think it´d be this hard, but apparently it is :(
Well, i better get going, hope you all have a good week and know that i love you all! Tchau!
com muito amor,

Wow, what a week!
We worked really hard this week, had to break my new companion in :) My new companion is Sister Vaniski, from Cascavel-Paraná. She´s way cool and really excited to be here working. She doesn´t speak any english, but that´s ok. The new president has some new rules and one of them is that the americans need to help their brazilian comps with english. THe new area is really good, im really liking it and the members are so excited to have sisters in the area. They said it´s been over 10 years that they haven´t had sisters here. We found lots of investigators this week and they´re awesome!!! Some will be ready for baptism next week..i hope. We´ll be working with them this week and if they go to church on sunday they´ll be ready. We found this family, its a mom and she lives with her 4 kids. SHe is so neat and she wants to find "the right path" for her and her kids. She accepted to be baptized and we´re working with her and her kids to be batized at the end of this month. I love them so much!
President talked to me about my release date and he said he´s going to call provo just to authorize it and he´ll let me know FOR SURE THIS WEEK. HE apologizes for it taking so long. With the change of presidents it´s been really crazy.
Hope all is well at home, sorry this letter isn´t very long. DIdn´t here from you guys this week, but hopefully next week! I love and miss you all!!

Hey!!!!!
Well, we had transfers today.....I got transferred. I´m opening an area where there used to be elders. IT was quite the adventure. FIrst off we had to wait for the other sisters to get to our house so we could go to the new area. They get there around 12:00pm. We had arranged with the elders to leave their keys with the neighbnors so we could get in. We get there and no one has the keys we ask two different neighbors and neither one of them had the keys. So i was calling all the elders in the mission office to try and get a hold of this elder that was responsible and it took forver because he didn´t have his phone on him. Finally, 2 hours later they get a hold of him and he said he had left the keys with the neighbor. We go back and ask again and they felt bad because the girl we had asked the first time hadn´t known they had the keys. We finally get insaide the house and......A PIG STY!!!!!!! Im sorry, but i have to say elders are disgusting!!!!!!! The walls are black from all the cob webs that have been up for probably years, the fridge is disgusting with food that´s been in there for who knows how long, the microwave had somethign blew up in there, and the bathroom......im going to town on that thing!!! And the bad thing is we have to have it all clean before my companion gets here tomorrow, im going to be training her!!! :) She´s from Cascavel, Parana-Brazil. I´m super excited! Right now im with sister black and sister regina silva, we´ll all live together. And wanna know something funny, our entire district has 8 sisters and 2 elders (our district leader and his comp) it´ll be really interesting!
Our new president is really good, he´s not president batt of course, but i think he´ll be good. I think a lot of things are going to change and he´s gonna have a lot more rules, but it won´t really matter cuz i´ll be gone in a few weeks. I still don´t know about my release date, every time i call they say that they´ll let me know. President already knows he just hasn´t given me an answer yet, but we´re having interviews this week so i´ll talk to him then. And for sure you will know next week! I think i´ll leave august 15th and get home the 16th.
That´s awesome that joseph rides a unicycle! I didn´t even know he was learning. I´m really torn about coming home. I´m super excited to get startd on new things again and what not, but i have so many people here that im going to miss so much! Last night i was talking with our neighbors and i just started to cry because i know i wno´t see them for a long time after i leave. They´re family to me! They´re going to see me off at the airport though so that will be neat :)
Well, hope all is well back at home...i can´t believe i´ll be home pretty soon! It´s gone by so fast. it´s incredible!!!! HAve a good week everybody, i love you all!!!

HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope you all are doing good! This isn´t going to be very long, but i hope you all have a good time at the parade and all!!!
Well, President Batt left last tuesday and our new president got here as well. HIs name is President Souza and he is from Curatiba. It´s funny because each week we have to email a letter to the president and now that our new pres is here we have to write in portuguese and my companion sister black is all worried about having to write in portuguese. She wrote it all out this past week and had us other sisters correct it. Then we get here to the lanhouse and she forgot her letter at home haha we all laughed. BUt anyways, this week was really busy. ANd it passed by so fast! We were running all over the place this week. We had a baptism for Bernardo. It was really good, although we had almost zero support from the members. I felt so embarrased, but we made it special for him. He has changed a lot. When I first met him he was very reserveded and didn´t talk much, but now he´s open he talks a lot more with us and he´s so happy. I can really see the change in him.
We actually had lunch at his and his wife´s house. IT was super good, it was way too good....it made me a little trunky. We get there (it´s an apartment complex) and they have a pool and a patio where you can eat and visit and all that. Anyways, they had family there, kids were swimming, it was sunny, breezy, a big lunch, fruits, ice cream....i think you can get the picture.....and i think you can understand why it made me trunky ;) Brought back lots of summer time memories! It was really great!
ALright, well not much else that happened this week, it was just super busy. HOpe you all are having a good time and i love you all!!!!! HAve a good week, and get lots of candy at the parade!!!! :) Tchau!!!!
